Data Sanitization Statement
Terms version 2026-10-27 · updated Oct 29 · California law
Only Units whose data has been wiped, whose storage was destroyed, or that have no user-data storage are listed; the wipe record we provide is BuyiMax's own record of that work, not a certificate.
1. Before listing. Each Unit's storage is sanitized under BuyiMax's Device Data Sanitization Procedure, which follows the purge and destroy methods of NIST Special Publication 800-88; an overwrite alone is not accepted. SIM and memory cards are removed. The Site lists a Unit only when our records show its data as wiped, its storage as destroyed, or that it has no user-data storage.
2. The wipe record. For a Unit, a lot or an order, we can provide a data wipe record stating, for each Unit, its data state, the method and the day, as our records show them. It is BuyiMax's business record, not a certificate of sanitization or a guarantee by a third party, and it is not an R2 or other certification.
3. If data is found. If a Buyer finds any data, account or profile on a Unit, the Buyer does not open, copy or use it, removes it securely or returns the Unit under the Returns and RMA Policy, and tells us at wholesales@buyimax.com within 2 business days. We treat it as a security incident.
4. The Buyer's own duties. The Buyer follows the data protection and secondhand-goods laws that apply to its own handling and resale of Units.
